  1. These kids have been traumatised over and over by the hateful Martens, I don’t know of a more sadistic abuse of victims by the perpetrators

  2. The whole Martens family is evil.

    >”The fact that my father’s phone, laptops, computers and hard drives were in Bobby Martens’ house in evidence baggies and not found or admitted to evidence just shows that the entire Marten’s family is complicit in the cover up of the killing of my father

    Bobby being Molly’s brother.

I hadn’t realise the extent of the abuse the kids faced at her hands.

    >”Molly had beaten Jack again and that is why I was hysterical.

    >”I was used by her. All I have ever been is a piece on her chess board. She taught me how to shoplift, how to vomit, how to be the most convincing liar.

    >”A friend of mine, a girl who sat next to me in school, was contacted by Molly Martens when I was in 6th class, I was nine years old.

  3. That was tough reading their impact statements. These poor kids and their family went through so much. The American justice system we all know is quite shit, but I hope the Martens get a full sentence for this.

  4. Those poor kids. Molly Martens is twisted. I’m glad they were able to speak the truth.

  5. That’s harrowing what those kids went through. I don’t know all the details but seems disgraceful that a plea deal was agreed. Those kids could have given powerful evidence if it had gone to retrial. The only silver lining is they are in a safe and normal home here in Ireland

  6. Those statements by the Corbett family are harrowing to read
It would seem the American justice system has failed them ,again

  7. I read the statements this morning and found myself tearing up. I can’t even begin to imagine the horrific trauma these two kids have experienced. And yet to express their pain and trauma so eloquently and clearly for the court in their victim impact statements. I hope they get every support and help they need.

Then the feelings turn in to anger when you realise what these evil people have done. To have spun and muddied the name of a man who is not here to defend himself because they beat him to death with the baseball bat and a paving stone. The testimony of the “Expert” witnesses to ride roughshod over him and the memory of his dead wife and to imply that the Irish pathology report was flawed and to then jump to the conclusion that she was strangled is outrageous.

The judge should be ashamed, to have taken such spurious evidence into account, but the biggest blame has to be on the prosecution, to let them plead it out and to really not deliver justice as it should be delivered.

  8. The children are an absolute credit to Jason, Mags and the entire Corbett, Lynch & Fitzpatrick family. Strong and dignified in the face of unrelenting trauma and abuse from the perpetrators.
