  1. Had shingles last year, am 29 and would not like to have it when I’m older.

Really bad shoulder pain for about 3-4 days before the bumps appeared around my armpits and my god I was so tired even though I got anti viral medicine from the doctor the first day I found the bumps (I didn’t even know what they were, wife recognised it was shingles though).

  2. I’ve had the shingles before lads, and it’s an awful yoke. I had medication and everything to help me, but it floored me. That painful itch was the worst.

  3. I got the shingles in my late teens/early 20s. I thought it was just a rash so lobbed some of my mothers moisturiser on it for a few days to see if that would clear it up. It started turning brown and I panicked. Turns out I was putting tinted moisturiser on it. My doctor had a good old laugh about it and still jokes with me about it 15 years later.

  4. I don’t think people have realised just how innovative this new mRNA technique is. This is only the tip of the iceberg, strong chance of vaccines for certain types of cancer within less than 5 years, amongst huge leaps for autoimmune disorders too. One good thing to come out of this pandemic was the funding and time that was placed on trying to eradicate it.

  5. Had the shingles in Spetember because I had chicken pox in the 80s, it was ok but it cost me €100 for ant-viral drugs. It could come back so this is good news.

  6. Had the shingles on my face and head back in September, worst-pain-ever. The lingering headache for weeks was crippling. Will definitely be first in the Q for that vaccine!

  7. Had shingles around this time last year, doc said I caught it literally a day before it would have been too late and avoided the worst of it but even still it was pretty rough

  8. My neighbour who’s in her 70s had it possibly 2 years ago. She said it was the most painful on the back of her neck. It would also give her headaches too. It sounded awful and it’s probably even worse when you’re older.
