Zorlu Tore is a UBP member – Speaker of the ‘Parliament’. Once again he attacks the politicians, journalists, intellectuals that support a united federal Cyprus
“I think it would be a great folly to expect any compromise or agreement on the Cyprus issue. There are members of the press, politicians and columnists who make a fuss about a federal Cyprus. They feel sorry for themselves. They fall into depression.”
Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre, in a program he attended on BRT this morning, said that the Pile road has been on the agenda for 25 years, but it has not been brought anywhere. Claiming that the road is completely within the territory of TRNC, Töre said that the United Nations’ thesis that the road passes through the buffer zone is not true.
While Zorlu Töre could not even agree on a path to be made for humanitarian purposes, he asked how the island of Cyprus would be governed together under the roof of the federation and said, “I think it would be a great folly to expect any compromise or agreement on the Cyprus issue. We have friends, members of the press, politicians and columnists who make a fuss about united Cyprus, federal Cyprus, Cyprus out of spite, united Cyprus to death. They feel sorry for themselves. They get depressed. “Such a thing cannot happen, it is not possible for such a thing to happen,” he said.
