    Lower fertility means people have no hope for the future

  4. The verbiage around this needs to change. “Fertility rate” implies that people can’t have kids, not that they refuse to. More people are opting out today for a variety of reasons. There’s no good reason to have children as things stand.

  5. This article is from 2020…I fairly certain that birth rates have gone up since then. Now we are just having babies that will live in poverty.

  6. It is not a fertility rate rather birth rate. This not just an occurrence in the US and I am not entirely sure this is a negative when you consider the impact of climate challenges that are predicted.
