  2. TLDR- 6PPD is a toxic micro plastic that shaves off from car tires and is a ubiquitous chemical. It has been scientifically deemed as highly toxic and proven to acutely kill certain fish populations and cause major negative impacts on the environment. 75% of micro plastics in water are 6PPD.
    The lobbying arm of big tire has warned against bans of this chemical, as it could “negatively impact public safety and the economy” and urge future research, citing it may take a number of years.
