Right up there with their governing standards then.
The “complete failure” is due to:
1) Not supporting a woman’s bodily autonomy
2) Threatening to raise the voting age
3) Threatening to de-fund the IRS and do away with Medicare/Social Security
4) Choosing to protect billionaires over the will/benefit of the American people
5) Constantly extolling the idea that the US was meant to be a theocracy

Keep digging your own graves, Republicans.
People are finally starting to realize that the Republican Party is not a force for good.
“We learned absolutely nothing and even if we did we don’t care because fuck you I do what I want”
Tuesday was good for America, but Democratic, liberal, progressive and other left-of-center voters shouldn’t rest on their laurels and assume a blue wave is inevitable next year.
We have a chance to save the United States by kicking out these reactionary, autocratic, theocratic, homophobic, misogynistic, xenophobic, anti-American, right-wing troglodytes, but only if voters turn out and vote blue.
Turns out forced birth isn’t quite the winner they thought it was.
It’s so ODD how the general population has a majority vote and it shows in the voting what the majority wants and how even if you ignore that and beat your agenda into the media and into the “true believers” it’s still not good enough if the “true believers” aren’t the majority. Democracy… What a Concept.
“We have to have a compelling message that appeals to the suburban voters no question about that,” Thune said. “So, I think that’s economy, jobs, cost of living, public safety the border. I think those are the issues that really resonate with people across the country and our candidates this year are going to be on offense on that issue.”
So here come the lies.
“The economy is in ruins!” Ignore the fact that the media was trying to manufacture a recession and instead we achieved a safe landing and economic indicators are nominal. Just focus on how expensive things are and blame that on Biden instead of the corporate boards that are making pricing decisions.
“The border is open!” Ignore the fact that there have been record numbers of detentions and the Biden administrations border policy is not much different from the Trump administrations.
“The cities are in ruins!” Ignore the fact that the stupid fucking yokels that vote Republican haven’t ever been to the city and that the cities are not going to benefit from some stupid Republican talking point and that actual Republican policies like austerity first actually create the conditions that lead to the crime. Just pretend like it’s all the fault of, checks notes, Democrats at the national level.
I’m so fucking sick and tired of this circus of lies
The Whigs are waiting, GOP.
“Am I out of touch?” … “No, it is the children who are wrong.”
-The entire Republican Party
They followed a con man loser.
I think abortion will actually tear the Republican party further apart. With the Speaker fight there seems to be two ends of the GOP spectrum: pragmatic career conservatives who are generally more focused on the economic policies and the far right true believers.
Now I call them pragmatic because while they probably do actually have some conservative beliefs, but are much more focused on winning. These are the Republicans focused on fundraising and party unity, the ones who got steamrolled into supporting Johnson. They understand that to win in the current Republican party they have to support some crazy ideas, but they are also the ones willing to ditch positions they think will hurt the party. They’re the ones, like Romney, who are accepting that abortion isn’t a winning strategy anymore and want to move on.
The problem is that the MAGA Republicans don’t believe in compromise. They don’t believe in negotiating. They only want what they want, and even if the voters disagree they do it anyway. Hell, there’s been numerous articles lately about how MAGA candidates keep losing and they don’t care, they just keep pushing them down our throats. And many of them are anti-abortion, and for the most extreme abortion opponents they believe the issue is black and white, all or nothing.
So I believe what you’re going to see is the Republicans closer to the strategic/pragmatic side will be looking for the next boogeyman/issue they can shout about to get votes while backing away from any further abortion bans, and the far right will continue to push for abortion bans, even though it causes them to lose, even though it’s unpopular, because they don’t accept compromise.

Instead of seeing it as a need to change their positions, they will instead take it as an indication they need to increase their efforts to suppress votes, override voter preferences, increase efforts to force their policies down our throats. Some of them have already said this out loud.
Uhm, yeah, good luck changing the narrative and trying to convince the country you are not a bunch of religious crackpots bent on performance politics and Taliban like control over other people’s lives.
Just look at what Tuberville is doing to the military, and then take a look at the creepy freak they just put into the House Speaker’s position. Couple that with the shit show leading up to that vote and the impeding shut down of the government.
Republican culture wars and impetitude is simply a fact. Republicans are rightfully seen as the clown cart in politics.

Yes, Republicanism *is* a complete failure.

Well they haven’t done shit about it so I doubt that’s a winning issue either.
If you weren’t so fucking stupid and think your constituents are even stupider…
