  1. Legitimate question, but is there even anything against being trans in the bible?

  2. Hilarious.. so what has changed that suddenly it’s okay? Did god send a message? 😆

  3. Was there any doubt to begin with? Any human being can be baptised, whatever his sins are…

  4. All the trans people in the waiting list can go for it, great

  5. “For the child of a same-sex couple to be baptised, there had to be “a well-founded hope that it would be educated in the Catholic religion”, according to the response.”

If it’s a man and a woman it doesn’t matter, right? It’s just absurd. If they want their kids to be baptized is because they’re believers.

  6. Every headline about him should just be “Pope Pisses Off Catholics Again” and each one would be correct. 😀

  7. Finally some good news since all of those wars and famine happening around the globe

  8. No need to do that. Most of them are already baptised without their consent.

  9. So the pope speaks in the place of god? Isn’t this the highest heresy there is?

    I don’t get religion…

  10. Stupid that anyone needs / waits for Pope‘s confirmation.
Stupid that anyone cares about being baptised.

  11. I wonder if the pope is trying to make the catholic church cool and recover some numbers. Because less and less people are catholic each day, specially in the global south.

  12. Time to watch Europe shrug, and the US completely lose it’s marbles.

  13. At the end of the day, all that matters are the hands reaching into their pockets to fill the tithe.

  14. Catholic Church should abandon pedobaptism because it is a baptism without consent from an innocent infant, unlike credobaptism that most Protestant churches practice with.

  15. He also statet that enviromental protection is important. But you know, nobody listen to Guy who should know. At least not catholics

  16. > For the child of a same-sex couple to be baptised, there had to be “a well-founded hope that it would be educated in the Catholic religion”, according to the response.

So that’s a no then lol

  17. Yeah that is not going to last. A lot of people here don’t really understand that parts of the Catholic Church are ready to mutiny, the Pope from a small minority of Jesuits who have like Five Cardinals in a organization with over 200, and finally the trend amongst Christianity is that that any church that tries to be Progressive eventually dies as its future membership (basically the youth who still partake in the faith) are all turning Dissent Right-wing to the perception of modernism entering the faith.

To be honest a lot of people who they they are Christian tend to be effectively deists and their effects on the various churches is lately a slow death of all but those who abandon them in favor of the actual constant followers who tend to hate shit like this.

Plus, this was only because the Church doesn’t want a scandal and found that there was no doctrine against this. The moment they try they will be forced to either break apart or stop it as again the Catholic Church is aware of the shifting of their audience.

  18. The pope is like one sane person sitting on top of a pile of insanity. He’s been pushing the church towards acceptance his whole career, but the cardinals think otherwise

  19. > For the child of a same-sex couple to be baptised, there had to be “a well-founded hope that it would be educated in the Catholic religion”, according to the response

So if a child is dying, and there is not enough time for it to be “educated in the Catholic religion”, then no baptism, let it go to hell.

Popes being cruel to innocent children as always.

  20. But … I don’t want to be baptised as catholic 🙁

  21. The Catholic Church being unfathomably based? I never thought I’d see the day.
