You mean, some people have their eyes open to what’s around the corner. I always knew there were too many of us, and it even goes beyond that now, that we don’t want to see our children suffer and they’re suffering already from ‘climate shock’ just as adults are.
My partner and I decided to not have children because of climate change. Resources are going to become more and more scarce, the economy is going to get worse, student debt is immovable, housing and inflation are at the point of being unlivable for a majority of people. So with all of that plus environmental disasters happening more frequently why would we have a child? I’ve been talking allot with my friends recently about how gen z / alpha not having children creates a massive retirement / end of live care problem. We won’t have anyone to take care of us as we grow old. The future honestly seams so bleak at this point.
