  1. That’s saying something considering how awful the originals were

  2. It’s been a while since ive seen a movie that split critics right down the middle like this one is. i’m curious so im gonna go see it

  3. Why do we expect prequels to be good? Wouldn’t that diminish the appeal of original movie?

  4. The book is actually surprisingly awesome. So the storyline shouldn’t be a problem… actually really excited for this one.

  5. I thought the original hunger games movies were blech too.

  6. It’s expected when they just try to make money off the title without any of the same cast, that crap never works.

  7. It’s actually getting reviews all over the spectrum which I think is far more interesting, sounds pretty divisive.

  8. Why do movies that are supposed to be special suck these days? It’s like they don’t care what they feed us and just tryna make some money. Same with the marvel movies and shows.

  9. More like the “Eh, I guess I could eat” Games

  10. Umm… in no way is bland worse than terrible. Terrible is terrible. Bland is not that.

  11. Well, to be fair, so was the book in comparison to the original story. It was nice to learn more about Snow’s past, but it felt a little bit like reading a fan fiction.

  12. I put very little stock in movie reviews, especially early ones, but generally if I see the word “woke” in any form I’m reasonably sure I will enjoy the movie; if sweaty neckbeard incels are foaming at the mouth about said movie, then I absolutely KNOW I’m gonna enjoy it.

  13. This movie and The Marvels both have WILDLY different vibes and takes on the web.

I mean, established reviewers who I trust have polar opposite opinions and I can’t think of two movies/blockbusters being in this situation before.

Definitely not at the same release window.

  14. I just wanna watch a rated R horror survival hunger games. Something tuff
