936 Covid positive patients in Irish hospitals – the first fall since New Years Day.

  1. Probably a good sign but a bit too early to tell.

    The trend seems to be that there are less patient discharges on the weekend so I’d expect the number of patients to increase then.

    Be interesting to see if the number of patients starts to downturn again next week.

  2. Would these all be folks admitted to hospital purely because of COVID or is it folks in there for various reasons who could have caught it in there? I would assume the majority are folks admitted because of COVID but seeing as Omicron is so contagious and the wards are well occupied maybe it’s a bit of both.

    Just curious really.
