To run for elected position, I think ALL must be subjected to passing (100%) a mental capacity test, health check, and personality test.
Trump fails with narcissism, with lack of empathy, a pattern of vindication and deception, and failing to protect a nation from effects of plague and using classified information as bargaining deals/trophies. Abuse of the American legal system is his tool of choice and lifelong veiled threats, and bullying.
If not jail, strip him and his family from any political position, prevent gains from any book, show, podcast or tour. Remove all presidential benefits such as healthcare, insurance, secret service and all details associated. Bar him from pursuit of any lawsuit or legal challenges.
And if he or any family member attempts or receives contact from any country unfriendly to democracy and the United States of America and its allies, that he be imprisoned for life, without parole or use of any golf course.
the most interesting about the poll is that biden needs to shore up support among young and minority voters who share three things. a fear of abortion bands, a aversion to Trump, and a disinterest in politics in general outside of election season; I have no idea how biden is going to attract these voters over the next year.

They need to get louder about all GOP candidates. Not just Trump.
Articles written about trump are so painfully myopic in their perspective when they focus on what he’s doing in tiny increments, ignoring or failing to mention the multi-decade record of who this is, what his goals are, and who he’s working with.
“Fair and balanced” is negligent, disingenuous, and works only in trump’s favor. This type of “journalism” cedes responsibility to inform and instead chases drop after drop of the firehose of falsehood.

The worst part is that the media *all knew they were creating a monster* and even admitted it but loved the money they were raking in too much to stop. They couldn’t help themselves and they’re still doing it. They ALL have a vested interest in the high drama of Donald Trump and the 2024 election. The more drama, uncertainty, and fear that they can generate, the more money they make. The media have made Donald Trump their very own reality star. They will continue to do this even if it endangers the Republic. They’re too greedy not to.
Is the threat of Trump real? Yes. But the press in general revels in, and profits and profits from, the fear, uncertainty, and doubt so we get a distorted view which is more sensationalized than it is educational, informative, and enlightening like [Katie Couric’s interview with historian Heather Cox Richardson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSCnhREe9-c) about “conservatives” and Republican political tactics which would more likely sway a voter than saber rattling FUD which is crafted to sell more add time and easily attacked as hysteria by the right.
