  1. Don’t forget the growing fury in the US against us as well

  2. >The Biden administration has received stark warnings from American diplomats in the Arab world that its strong support for Israel’s destructive and deadly military campaign in Gaza “is losing us Arab publics for a generation,” according to a diplomatic cable obtained by CNN.

Yeah, we feel that way about [Iran and Qatar providing financing for Hamas](https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/hamas-cash-to-crypto-global-finance-maze-israels-sights-2023-10-16/), and Hamas is still firing their rockets at Israeli cities, so if the Arab world could maybe lean on them a bit, too, that’d be great.

  3. And america only cares about arab world cause of that sweet sweet oil. These arab nations are purely oil dominated and that is why countries should start moving towards renewable resources.

  4. I’m not voting next election but if I do it’ll be 3rd party. Fuck these spineless politicians.

  5. More like they feel more willing to openly show their hatred for the US that they’ve harboured all along

  6. American geopolitical enemies (Russia, China, Iran, NK, others) are increasingly uniting against the US, and what they lack in money or technology, they make up with the brutal will to fight to matter the cost or casualties. Take Russia – lose over 100K troops and billions in sanctions, and just ramp up conscription and keep going, because their desire to beat the West, and break what they consider Western hegemony, trumps all pragmatic concerns for them.

In the West, such losses in today’s political climate would result in a major domestic crisis, meeting or exceeding the Vietnam War protests. It doesn’t feel like the US, or its Western allies, mired by infighting and domestic issues, have as much zeal or commitment to oppose the threat to the Liberal world order, or the defense of our interests. We seem to have already expended most of our political will on Ukraine and Israel, and this is with an administration more committed to international affairs than any of those that might replace it in 2024. Like in WW2, we might still be the economic and technological powerhouse, but unlike WW2, there is no domestic unity in prosecuting a major war to defend our beliefs and interests, facing and overcoming major losses in the process.

If and when our opponents make their next major move, such as in Taiwan or a ME-wide war, it’s plausible the US will just fold our post-WW2 positions and go back to isolationism, or, at the very least, make very major concessions to our enemies (weakening ourselves and strengthening them), rather than fighting a war for which it has no political capital to win. Especially if 2024 brings a change in administration.

  7. This has been a long time coming, not all biden’s fault. Trump pulling out of the Iran deal, moving the embassy to Jerusalem, blocking security Council measures, these things don’t happen overnight. Things had died down after Iraq, but looks like it’s early 2000s again

  8. Thats not gonna stop them from importing billions of them. What a shitty headline like it affects anything.

  9. We are America. We will prevail. Their desires, their dreams, their hopes, whatever they have or don’t have… it is meaningless. They are meaningless. They will fail. They are weak.

If they test us, we’ll show them why we don’t have free healthcare.

  10. If only the US had diplomats to send, or generals to protect us, but Cruz, Vance, Paul and Tuberville are blocking all of those appointments.

We don’t even have an Ambassador to Israel right now because of the Republicans.

  11. And Arabs, where are your diplomats?

Egypt, why did the US have to spend diplomatic capital with you to open up that border crossing? What have you got to say for yourself?

China, I assume your diplomats are working overtime in Israel. How much diplomatic capital are you spending here? What have they got to show for it?

  12. This just in: Muslim countries strong support for Islamist Terrorism are losing Western publics for a generation

  13. Sounds like a problem they should work on themselves

Unfortunately self reflection doesnt seem to be at the top of the list though lol

  14. If they want to try something, I say go ahead and try we’re fucking ready.

  15. But of course it doesn’t matter that it’s not all of us.

I just want to live my own damn life in peace.

  16. Honestly curious about this… The Arab nations other than Egypt (and even that with US influence) have done nothing to help civilians. They sit on mountains of cash, they could try to put pressure on Hamas to broker peace no?

  17. I’m tired of the US being involved with the Middle East, we should abandon that part of the world.

  18. As far as I was aware, the Arab world already hated us. Maybe we should stop sending foreign assistance to countries full of people who despise us.

  19. And? Fuck ’em. This ain’t the time to be cute. If their entire goal is to destroy a state and commit actual genocide, fuck ’em.

  20. So? Will the US and west in general ever learn that appeasement doesn’t work? They hate us anyway. They will always hate us. And their main reason for hating us right now is invalid anyway (support for Israel) so, DGAF.

  21. The world had been bombarded with deliberate rhetoric of hatred all on sides, this is all planned and we have some scary times ahead.
