  1. >The UK’s economy failed to grow between July to September compared to the previous three months, official figures show.

    >Many economists had expected the UK to shrink over the period, by around 0.1%.

    Oooh, so it’s just stagflation.

    Lucky us!

  2. Why didn’t it grow by even 0.1%? What is this government investing in!?

  3. Aren’t we supposed to expecting an recession next year?

  4. The BoE are trying as hard as they can to induce a recession but it’s still not quite there for them.

  5. I’m just an average idiot, but if the Govt./BoE are chatting constantly about rampant inflation and the need to raise prices to try and stop people spending, how could the economy grow?

I’ve most likely not understand the game at all.. but I would assume that this was the strategy all along?

  6. ~~The economy grew? That doesn’t actually matter, because it does nothing to change the lives of the average person and here are 3 other unrelated things the government have done that I don’t like~~

The economy didn’t grow? This is unacceptable. What damning evidence of the government having no idea how to run the country and making us all worse off

  7. Yes, it seems that the party that loves to pride itself on how capable it is with the economy still isn’t managing the economy that well.

  8. Stagflation 🥳

I’m not sure what this government has been thinking, just coasting into this shit situation seemingly unaware of anything going on outside of their culture war bullshit. I think they have the view that the economy and their electoral chances are magically going to improve on their own.

  9. So August was a month of low activity? Hoe could that happen?
