Hi all,

I’ve just got an accident, by myself 🙁 and need to have my Audi left side mirror replace, it was damaged as the attached images. The dealer told it would cost around 700€ to replace it, does that price make sense? I know Audi parts are usually expensive, but I don’t expect it’d cost that much.

Also can I temporarily fix it to continue driving while waiting for the appointment? Or it’s in a very bad shape that can’t be fixed?

  1. Official dealerships (especially Audi, BMW, Merc) are very expensive. Get an estimate from an independent shop.

  2. I’m in Berlin btw, if it matters. And also for not confusing anyone else, I don’t mean official dealership, the quote I get from a local car workshop that I used to come before

  3. Seems like A4 B8.5? There is blinker, heating, electronical mirror adjustment… Yeah, it is expensive to get it changed in official dealership. But i would expect 250-300€ for a new piece + labour.. try some local kfz-werkstatt.

  4. It happened the same to me I was quoted 300 euro to replace my golf mirror as well. I bought the part on Amazon and replaced it myself , took me 3h to do it but saved me 250 €. Check a video on YouTube and see if it’s worth hassle . Also check local mechanics they will quote you better prices.
