Ross Greer imposes sanctions on Israel.
The Scottish Government has, according to their own website, the economy, education, health, justice, rural affairs, housing, environment, equal opportunities, consumer advocacy and advice, transport and taxation. Get even one of those right.
The Green presser [here](https://greens.scot/news/scottish-government-must-ban-companies-complicit-in-israel-s-illegal-settlements-from-accessing) provides links to the companies that [profit from these settlements ](https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2020/02/un-rights-office-issues-report-business-activities-related-settlements) and coverage about the many [Palestinians killed by settlers on the West Bank.](https://www.itv.com/news/2023-11-07/violence-grows-between-israeli-settlers-and-palestinians-in-the-west-bank)
Along with the moral argument for moving away from funding these companies, there’s a question of whether this spending makes sense. Like the money [Raytheon](https://theferret.scot/scottish-government-companies-dsei-public-grants/) and Amazon get from Scottish Enterprise, this spending isn’t making a difference for local small or medium enterprises.
What a twat
and stop buying jaffa oranges.
