Tuberville told CNN this week that the short-staffed military needs to “delegate,” the way he did as a college football coach.
“I coached for a long time,” Tuberville said. “I think 15 or 20 coaches, I mean, you can only do so much. You got to give responsibility. I’m sure that’s what they’re doing.”
He continued his comparison while shifting the blame to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, saying it was his job to “get people ready.”
The US needs to stop pushing our idea of Democracy on the world when this is a reality. A football coach who doesn’t even understand how the government operates can block hundreds of appointments by himself with no recourse.
The measure would need at least 10 Republican senators to vote yes on.
Will that many of them actually have a spine? At one point I’m sure it would have been a no-brainer to think that at least ten would step up to support the military, since the party’s supposedly got a raging hard-on for supporting the troops and whatnot.
But these days they’ve done enough to show that they’d clearly rather vote together as a group than do what’s actually in their best interest (ahem, house speaker) that I just don’t see this passing.
This guy has so much of the Deep South in him it’s disgusting. Even trying to shift blame to Lloyd Austin is just part of their classic “Blame black people for everything” technique. Throw in some low-IQ, college football references and you can convince every stupid white person in Alabama to vote for you. Sad!
If only the article title was:
“A temporary military blockade could finally end tuberville’s senate rule”
Way better
Oh… Poor man! And all that effort to keep those positions open for his buddy, Trump. 😩
“Hell, man. My grandmother’s quicker and tougher than you pansies. Of course, she’s 6’3, 250. Runs a 4.5 40.”
Now here is someone who deserves to have their salary reduced to $1. Ridiculous hypocrites
Florida’s 3rd unpatriotic hack Senator needs to be recalled. But by which state? He doesn’t have a home in the state he represents.
One party has a wrestling and football coach in its ranks. Says everything about their seriousness in politics. Losers.
Reminder that this man has a BS in physical education from Southern State College and coached football…that’s it. That’s his entire resume and he’s a senator blocking military promotions
his analogies are so dumb. if he was still a coach you know he would go apeshit if a new admin didnt give a shit about football and decided to withhold funds for hiring coaches and cutting scholarships. Guess what dumbass now you are headcoach and equipment manager too. Someplayers now have to play both sides.
Tuberville is simply not doing the job he was hired for. It’s another example of these easily-offended, snowflake boomers who just does not want to work anymore.
Time for him to shuffle off to the Pickleball court so the rest of us can get on with running the country.
