I thought it was communism, nvm they’re the same thing
No shit. Western sanctions have made it basically impossible for then to grow, so to maintain or grow their power relative to others they have to try to tear everyone else down.
Why the hell are Russians such an angry, depressive people? I would have thought they would be natural, friendly allies with Europeans. So much shared history.
Also,Russian instability is the high qualitity stuff. Not that low effort crap from China or Iran that gives you one re-election and that’s it.
Propaganda note: The Atlantic Council is a nato funded organisation. It’s job is to pump out opinion pieces that support nato strategies.
Biggest exporter of gas to Europe and oil to China is up to mischief again.
Somehow the worlds biggest power that toppled like 5 regimes in the last 20 years and is active covertly or openly in 20 or so more countries is not the biggest exporter of instability – signed a literal propaganda rag
Oh look the weekly thread on r/europe about bashing Russia and getting karma points.
From an *objective independent newspaper.*
If you have to expose Russia’s awful behaviour at least use reliable and objective sources.
Judo is what Putin knows best. Destabilizing countries internally through disinformation campaigns is what allows Russia to punch above its weight.
This is a NATO funded and NATO supporting outlet and a Ukrainian journalist, that isn’t to say it’s wrong, and we all know how much dubious shit Russia do consistently, but important to be aware of nonetheless.
Propaganda in the popular sense is the distortion of facts and creation of a narrative to further political goals.
It is not bias and having an opinion.
Given the article is an opinion piece one would expect the author to have one. And you are free to contest the claims or arguments. But not the person or source by itself, but why their claims or arguments are wrong or questionable.
A lot of this is pretty self evident by Russia’s open claims concerning the previous Soviet sphere of influence, who constitutes a Russian in their eyes and what they think they are entitled to if they consider a Russian at odds with a country within theie sphere of influence.
Putin is also openly denying Ukraine’s right to exist by implying they are not Ukrainians, but Russians. Which is all in direct conflict to Russia’s official declarations in the 1990s and their security guarantees and border agreements with former Soviet republics.
ironically enough, it kinda backfired with covid, and only 32% of russian fully vaccinated
The Atlantic Council is grateful for the generous support it
receives from private foundations; US and non-US government agencies,
companies, and individuals. These supporters enable the Council to
continue its quality programming and timely analysis, thereby allowing
it to pursue its mission of renewing the Atlantic community for global
challenges.
World leading? Really? Russia has passed the long standing champion, the US of A then?
How is the Atlantic Council still allowed on here when RT, Sputnik News and others have all been banned. This website has one single objective and it’s funded to do that. It’s a shame this subreddit partakes in spreading it’s propaganda. Am not even going to discuss the narrative and BS being spread by the author.
No that’s the US and it’s not even close
Who even comes up with such titles.
You misspelled USA.
And water is wet.
The CCP is vying for the top spot
I’m really not enjoying the new nationalist DLC for the Human simulation
Regional? Maybe. GLOBAL? That’s America, baby.
Wasn’t the US the biggest threat to Global Security year after year? Isn’t this directly contradictory of that?
