Excellent news for our climate targets, because the government isn’t doing enough elsewhere.
It’s a shame, but at least I can proudly say I supported low cost carriers like easyJet and Ryanair once again. Over ten flights in 2021, probably for at most like 500 pounds in total, what’s not to love.
I’m meant to be flying to Amsterdam in February (booked earlier in the year when it looked like things were ok) but I don’t think I’ll get there at this rate
If we’re going to mitigate the worst effects of climate change, we’re going to have to significantly reduce air travel anyway. Not that I expect it to stay this way once the pandemic eases off.
