  1. There’s about 70 completely separate accents in the Republic but the Brits just hear one Diddlely Eye Begorrah Sure

  2. So there are 10 accents on the island of Great Britain and just 2 on the island of Ireland?

  3. I’m surprised at how unattractive they found the Glaswegian accent. I’d say it’s the best out of them all. I also like the West Country accent, it has a lovely musical quality to it.

  4. This irritates me generally but I know so many people by who find Highland Scots veeerrrrry attractive and it doesn’t get a look in?

Having lived in greater Manchester and worked in Liverpool that is not wrong though

  5. Anglo-Celtic isles, these isles, Atlantic archipelago…. many alternatives to the “British”isles have been provided…. also how is Glasgow the only accent in Scotland?

  6. Where to start with this… ‘southern Ireland’? the ‘british Isles’? Or the fact that they see us as once accent whilst noting the different English accents when Irish accents are as distinct from one another as they are?
