1. France – hate to give it to France but it’s an iconic flag. Simple but makes one want to man the battlements
2. Ireland – deeply symbolic, unusual colours but each one has an important meaning in relation to Ireland’s history
3. Romania – should be ugly but actually works well. Original and distinctive
4. Italy – a nice flag but has been cheapened by association with takeaway pizza. Lacks (common) association of Irish and French flags with popular uprising
5. Belgium – horrible proportions and colour scheme makes it look like the French flag dying of alcoholism

Viva Italia 🇮🇹
Was it something else before tricolor?
Fun fact: Armenian poet [Mikayel Nalbandian](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikayel_Nalbandian) wrote a poem dedicated to the Italian flag
called- “The song of an Italian girl”, which later became the anthem of republic of Armenia called [Our Fatherland.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mer_Hayrenik)
May we never forget the revolutionary spirit that the French Revolution gave us, because fuck we still need it.
Wow, three vertical stripes. Literally nobody else could have thought of that.
