Millionaires from selling damaged PPE : Homeless due to Brexit. Yep – very level.
Honestly that means that they are completely politically illiterate because it’s been all over the papers and political speeches for months. There’s even a minister for it.
The fact that it appears to be an empty slogan, well, that’s a different matter. But to not have heard the slogan you would have to be actively avoiding politics.
One in 4 have never heard of it, another doesn’t understand what they mean by it and the other two don’t believe they have any intention of following through and doing anything meaningful to achieve anything that might actually equate to levelling up.
But enough people believe that Johnson is a fun kind of guy who is stopping Romanians suppressing their wages and stealing their jobs and that Patel is going to sink all the Muslim ‘illegals’ in the channel that the Conservatives still have a ludicrous amount of support despite their mismanagement of (checks notes) pretty much everything.
I’ve heard the slogan but I assumed it was just that, a slogan. The idea that this government has anything that can be honestly described as a “strategy” seems laughable to me.
The Tories are probably glad about that as they probably have no idea what it means either.
Oh I have heard of it but I have no idea what it means, either as a strategy or a policy.
As far as I can see it’s just an inane sales type strapline that’s not attached to a tangible “product”.
Which is handy, because one in four Tory MPs act like they haven’t heard of it either
I think they’ve got this wrong. I think it’s meant to be :1 in 4 members of cabinet haven’t heard of the flagship levelling up strategy’
I have heard of it and have heard some projects banded about, however I highly doubt much will happen beyond token gestures and some paint to cover the cracks. It is Northern Powerhouse 2.0, it is a slogan to get votes from those disenfranchised with Labour but it will not amount to long-term substantial changes.
I’m sure all have heard of it just nobody had experienced it because it’s another lie
26% of respondents are also liars. Not even the government really knows what it means.
That’s because it’s just a populist slogan to shout while in the run-up to the next general election.
And the general population are too dumb to see through the bullshit and will vote these clowns in again.
Worse, more than 0% of people who have heard of it actually believe it’s possible or that Tories will deliver it. Shockingly uninformed…
I believe it roughly translates as “pumping funding into pro-Brexit areas to reward them for being pro-Brexit, at the expense of anywhere that voted remain”
Nice slogan I guess. As someone who lives in the SE, all it means is ‘ we’re going to plough all your taxes into the north and you won’t see a penny of any benefit’.

One in four is pretty low tbh.
[One in four people in Britain agree with conspiracies propagated by QAnon, the global movement claiming there is a secret satanic network of child-abusing politicians and celebrities, a survey has found.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/22/one-in-four-britons-believe-in-qanon-linked-theories-survey)
