  1. ‘Rank Choice Voting’ would make this a benefit to our democracy.

  2. If Manchin cared about his legacy his last 10 years would’ve been very different.

  3. We all already hate him so it’s pointless to say this

  4. Manchin and family traded it for cash and misery to others…

  5. I don’t know who Manchin’s planning on pulling from Joe Biden. Biden’s a centrist so he’s got their votes, and unfortunately he’s the most viable left-wing candidate out there so the leftists (myself included) will probably vote for him as the lesser of two evils.

If anything, Manchin will pull center-right votes from Republicans who don’t like Trump but still think Biden is a socialist. So… more power to him?

  6. Let’s face it, Manchin is a Republican who ran as a Democrat because the GOP already had their guy. But that didn’t magically make him a progressive or even moderate politico. He probably hates Joe B and is looking for political payback. Maybe Joe forgot to send him a party invite, who knows. These egos are incredibly plump and soft and easily bruised.

  7. Manchin can’t win a state re-election. He has to know he cannot win a national election. Therefore he is acting in bad faith; not for the good of country.

  8. I’m sure he is getting some serious GOP $$ to run against Biden.

  9. What legacy? He’s a dipshit old man coal barron living on a yacht. Anyone with 2 maybe 4 brain cells to rub together can see that Manchin is out for himself and no one else

  10. He’s got to, they wasted that money on RFK and it didn’t take. His handlers will keep throwing money until they can find one

  11. I don’t think he’s going to try and torpedo Biden. I know everyone here hates him, but Manchin was extremely important in getting most of Biden’s agenda through, as a Democrat from a deep, deep red state

  12. Wait manchin has a legacy besides being a coal blooded capitalist shit bag ?

  13. These guys, Feinstein, Grassley, MCConnell , Susan Collins, Menendez, and countless others, now Manchin, , cannot simply go away. It is literally impossible for them to step out. The perks must be unfucking believable.

  14. “Legacy”? “Mar”? Ha! Ha-ha, ha.

It’s like worrying about a skidmark in a filled pair of Depends.

  15. Let him try. He won’t peel off any democrat votes.

  16. We know how this grifter works. He wants the establishment to give him a cushy retirement job. But unfortunately he’s been such a spineless piece of shit that no one’s biting. So he’s going to threaten to run to gain some leverage. He’s the fucking worst.

  17. Manchin takes votes away from Trump not Biden. He is helping Biden if he runs for president.

  18. Why would he bother doing this I can not see it being to his advantage.

  19. Hard to mar a legacy as drenched in corruption/coal/self-serving assery as his.

But I do agree. He needs to go the fuck away.

  20. Meh, Biden needs someone to beat into the dirt during the primary

  21. It is disgusting how see though this is and that there is no mechanism to make the GOP payoff he will be getting visible and prosecutable.

  22. this is not something i had considered because it makes no sense.

  23. West Virginia is such a pretty state that’s filled with so many poor people. Manchin has done dick to help these people.

  24. “Your legacy.”

I think he’ll be remembered as an obstructionist asshole. So yeah, don’t fuck that up.

  25. Dude where has Wes Moore been? Sitting on other people is what Joe Manchin’s legacy is.

Manchin isn’t known for building anything. He’s known for ripping shit down.

  26. He can run in the 2028 primary. He won’t, because he won’t win, but he can try.
