  1. So Nepal joins Montana in banning TikTok. But I don’t know what “disturbing social harmony” means.

  2. I have never seen anything wise in those 15 seconds clips. And I don’t want anything of mine be sent to China CCP.

  3. Why not, TikTok is the apex of selfishness, superficiality, and intellectual degeneracy, eventually sponsored by the CCP.

  4. I deleted tik tok off my phone, that app is nonsense. Good on Nepal!

  5. I dislike tiktoks brainrot as much as the next guy but what many here seem to miss is that this move is highly authoritarian and censorious in nature.

  6. TikTok apart from being a weapon the Chinese have sent to destabilise western society (and it’s working as even a brief five minutes watching the videos on it will show you) it is also banned off all phones of US and EU politicians and civil servants as it’s effectively inbuilt spyware and rips and copies everything on your phone and sends it back to China.
Matter of time before it’s banned outright everywhere. As it should be.

  7. I doubt Nepal will be able to enforce this. They are sitting next door to China. They offend them a bit too much. And in retaliation, they are going to find themselves the capital of some dynasty from China.

Turns out they were part of China loonngg back.

But then again, they are also neighbouring India who also banned Tik Tok, so who knows.

  8. The stupidity of the users is not the fault of the platform

  9. I dipped my toe into tiktok and it made me feel like it was actively making me dumber, I’d never really felt that before

  10. By this logic they should ban facebook and instagram as well..
