Yep, dealerships suck. I almost bought an EV6 after a test drive, but the Kia dealer sold it out from under us while we were debating whether to buy it. This was near the height of supply chain problems. It was their prerogative, but it wasn’t a positive customer experience.
My family has since moved to an all EV household, with two car purchases. Neither were purchased from dealers.
While the dealer experience didn’t dictate our final decision on which car to buy, it was a factor. I could have gone either way on the Tesla vs EV6 decision (both are good cars with certain pros/cons). The dealer experience helped me choose Tesla over Kia.
Car dealers are an odd group. Few have fast charging for their EVs and none have H2 for their FCVs. Shows what support they offer for ZEVs.
