Putin may believe in his victory again due to U.S. and Europe hesitation – Lithuanian Foreign Minister

  1. Putin has ceased dealing with facts a long time ago.

The mistake in my opinion is in assuming that what he does is in any way dictated by reason or logic or he would have left Ukraine alone a long time ago.

  2. What “victory”? Even if Ukraine quit trying to advance now and dug into their current positions forever all Russia has gained since 2022 is half of Zaporizhia and half of Kherson (and a handful of districts in a couple of other Oblasts). And for that they’ve killed thousands of civilians, destroyed entire cities, sacrificed tens of thousands of soldiers, wasted tens of billions of dollars, messed up their economy, failed to achieve regime change in Kyiv, got pushed almost back to their pre-2022 positions by an ‘inferior’ army, lost thousands of tanks, had their navy’s flagship sunk, had their port at Sevastapol fucked, severed themselves from most of Europe and pushed Sweden and Finland into NATO.

  3. Historically, every single conflict ended up at negotiations table. No matter what outcome of all of this ends up – I don’t believe either Ukraine or Russia will be victorious in a long run.

  4. >may believe in his victory again due to U.S. and Europe hesitation

I believe it’s not “hesitation” it was US and Europe plan from the beginning, to exhaust Ru without giving much in expense of Ukrainians.

And yeah I know it’s still billion’s of $, but for war of this scale it’s really not much. They are just not committed to victory, and Ukrainians are playing along this “victory trough soldiers morale” thing, without modern arms in sufficient amount.

  5. From what I’ve read, the Ukrainians would consider a victory if they returned the country to it’s pre 2014 border and joined Nato? Now, I’m not sure either of these will happen. As for the Russians, I’m not even sure what they’d consider a victory and what their exact goals are in this?

  6. Yep, nothing like the House of Representatives in US Congress held hostage by 8 insignificant pussies from the MAGA tribe working for Moscow. Hesitation kills. We will be back once the House is swept

  7. I do not understand this pussified European approach that a negotiation can take place at the concession of land and what have you. You only freeze the conflict for the next generation to face it again in a few years. So pathetic.
