I haven’t felt safe in quite some years despite being in one of the safest countries and cities in Europe…
Nowadays I avoid the city center and I certainly don’t go to big events where there are large clumps of people together.
Recently I visited a holocaust memorial and I was honestly a bit worried about going there with the current situation.
Not to mention that online I tried to remove personal identifiable information due to increased ‘risk’.
It’s a crazy world and it has gotten worse in the last 10 years I’d say.
I don’t have much hope that the future will be better, I honestly think it will just get worse and worse.
Few days ago I was also looking into what options I have for self defense in the country I live, just in case..
That’s good, the sooner they start with them the sooner we throw them all out of Europe 🙂

And I was wondering why there are barriers blocking the streets to the Christmas markets
So why last several Christmas markets were fenced with cement blocks? It feels like someone people are actively avoid reality. There was no absolute safety, there were terror attacks, there are wars and people who would want to attack you. How many wake up calls are needed for some to give up being cattle?
Maybe it will create the final required shock to European psyche that enforces a reaction? Too late after too little for too long…but then maybe too forceful.
Wonder if Europe still has the means and willpower to go full self defense ( after Islam/ Muslims are in majority considered an unwanted threat) and whether or not human rights will go out of the window at the same time..

It already has. The synagogue in my city was attacked this weekend. Most of us have lost friends because of it, I’ve definitely changed my behaviour, hide my Star of David necklace and so on. I was in Serbia on October 7th and when I got back to Germany, it was different. I no longer felt safe.
We’ve seen small attacks and we know Jews don’t feel safe. I absolutely feel that something big will happen.
