Shockingly, the guy with the nepo baby daughter seems generally okay with it, as long as nepo babies have a self-awareness of it.

His grandfather owned a record label. Mainstream records. And then went in Hollywood. So I would imagine some doors were being opened for Judd by family friends on his way into the industry

The fact that nepo babies are a “trend” goes to show no one has any clue how the film industry works. The entire industry is nepotism. Always has been. It’s not out of selfishness or trying to push people out, it’s because virtually every career in the film industry is financial suicide, so the only people able to weather the high cost of living, thousands of dollars for personal equipment, and financing your own projects are wealthy people, from film or not. It’s that simple. And then obviously there’s the connections if you grew up in the industry. Which believe me, people should not be so jealous of. Those kids are the most fucked up kids imaginable. Terrible family relationships, terrible childhoods, drug problems, total detachment from reality. Just be glad those kids still care about art and decide to throw their money at passion projects and basically funding every college film project and the entire indie film industry and not a fraudulent tech startup or investment portfolio.
Im tired of their faces on this next gen of content. Most cant act or they dont try idk, either way they suck ass.
