  1. Oh boy, do you have a week or two for detailed explanation or would you like tl;dr version

  2. Kolega vidimo vam na flairu od balkans_irl da ste iz hrvatske, prestanite glumit strance i briši to!

  3. Croatia is actually made out of 3 kingdoms, a republic and Istria.

  4. I am not going to go into any details:

Because Croatia was a border region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire for a long time, borders have been moved here and there between them and the Ottoman Empire (+ the Republic of Venice)

These borders were mostly reused by the Communists after WW 2 (the border between Croatia and Bosnia) as to not divide the multiethnic nature of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia

You may think that Croatia and Bosnia fit like a puzzle together to give it a more round-ish look, but lets not talk about that

  5. Ottomans pierced through what today is Bosnia, hence the border going deep into Croatia from Bosnian side.

Republic of Ragusa (today Dubrovnik) gave away land around Neum (today in Bosnia) to Ottomans to protect themselves from Venice, hence the enclave.

North/East of the country is shaped by three major rivers (Drava, Sava, Danube)

  6. Because we protected Europe from Otomans. Last line of defence.

  7. We lost bunch of lands (todays Bosni and Herzegovina) to Ottman Empire. That’s it

  8. Neznam zakaj pričate na engleskom. Nema stranaca ovdje…

  9. Tili su je i Ugari stari, tili su je i Turci i Mleci…

  10. Bro posted a question about the history of a balkan country. Asked to leave the premises

  11. Croata settled in Bosnia kingdom and took all coast and agricultural land from them
