  1. Obviously never heard of that look after the pennies saying.

  2. The other day I used cash at a self-checkout till bc I forgot my cards. It gave me back 15p in pennies, they looked so dirty I just left them behind.

  3. Yeah do the same, seems dumb now that I’ve read it out loud

  4. WOW some people are just made of money! I personally would never throw away money knowing there are people less fortunate than me that could use it! yes ok they will never use it because its not like im going to fly there and give it to someone that needs it the most but still can a dude not virtue signal in peace?

  5. No. I have a little box that they go into with the 5 pences. When the box is full, I take it to the bank and empty it into the coin machine which counts it all up and gives you a receipt for that amount. Take the receipt to the cashier and you’ll have that amount credited to your account.
Last time (a few months ago) I got just over £15. Not bad for loose change.

  6. Put them in an oversize bottle or jar like a normal person

  7. Stick them in the giant Bells whisky bottle, last time I emptied it, it paid for 3 days worth of food.

  8. Who’s still using cash….okay with the exception that and that too!

  9. No. I keep it in my bag and then feel really excited when I find it in my bag 3 years later, then put back again. A vicious but wholesome cycle of events

  10. I tend to actually donate them to charity now. I’d rather they stuck the change in the lil pot than have it rattling around in my pocket

  11. The bin? Rubbish bin? No way. Look after the pennies and the pounds take care of themselves!! When my mum passed I went to clear her house and found £200 pounds worth of 1’s and 2’s and over another £200 of other assorted coins just shows. It soon mounts!!
