I genuinely worry for his safety if he travels to Palestine. I don’t think there’s a big change that anything will happen to him, however I am still worried for him.
Israel has been bombing everyone in Palestine indiscriminately. It doesn’t matter if they are innocent men, women, children, paramedics, journalists, whoever.
Israel is well known for writing off unneeded deaths as collateral damage when attacking who they claim are Hamas.
Having the leader of a country that is not well liked by Zionists in Israel go there is going to be controversial and will be a highly charged meeting on the Israeli side I’m sure.
I’d say it will be heartbreaking if he is allowed to meet those on the Palestinian side because, remember, Israel desires who goes in and out and they can claim a security issue and those meetings may never take place.
Hopefully he can make his visits and make it back safe.

MM has been in contact with Iran as well. Maybe Ireland’s condemnation of both Hamas savage massacre and Israeli savage onslaught on a population has registered that we can offer some links others might not have. Equally there are over 300 Irish troops in Lebanon and at least one Irish child being held hostage in what’s left of Gaza.
All we can do is wish MM success in trying to get her home and to ensure no more Irish troops die on UN duty in Lebanon.
