This is good… if there’s any truth to the rumours that Tuberville is doing this so that they can install Trump loyalist military officers, well, that’s chilling.

At this point it’s clear he’s holding them up in a vain and asinine hope that Trump will be elected and can fill the positions with his cronies. Even if he’s elected next November (God I hope not!) it’s still 15 months until he can begin the process. 15 more months without permanent and competent leadership in many crucial positions.

When the Republicans abuse the rules, the rules should be changed to prevent abuse. I hope the Senate finally realizes that carving the rules into stone leads to paralysis. The Senate must be flexible when faced with toxic opponents like Tuberville. One Senator should never be allowed to block anything all alone.
I can imagine breaking a lot of other things is probably on the menu.
