The show was about violence against women, a bit of an unfortunate juxtaposition with the woman holding the Palestinian flag being dragged out of the studio! (Not that I agree with two loopers trying to crash a TV studio, bit of a reddener for RTE security there…)

  2. They had a white flag with quite a chunk of text in Arabic they cut away from and muted the mics. Handled well by Katie who carried on afterwards cool as you like.

  6. Our government arent doing anything to try and help Martin is heading to Israel Thursday to more or less tell the scum that work away lads continue the slaughter we’ll not go against ye in any significant way

    He was out there a few weeks before it started now during it, will he go out later on again and congratulate them when they’ve murdered 20-30 thousand Palestinians after they’ve pulled out

    The EU military co operation he’s trying to draw us into also leaves me worried

  7. Don’t see how that is embarrassing for rte. 2 trespassers break in and interrupt a live broadcast about violence against women to protest in favour of oppressing women. The single security guard gently removes the trespasser from the stage without causing pain or injury. Handled perfectly by the guy if you asked me.

  10. Would make more sense to pull a stunt like this on Fox News over in the US or some other station of that ilk than on RTE. Daft antics.

  11. Back in my day there was loud protesters, calling Pat Kenny “Moralising, Pontificating”. Where’s the passion for something as important as Israels apartheid on Palestine?

    Should have just put the flag up really.
