1. This whole narrative that people are buying things now because they are afraid it will be more expensive later is bullshit. First of all, the study in this article has a 3.2% rate expectation. That’s only a percentage above target inflation. So who cares if ur mattress is gonna cost 3% more next year. You still need to sleep. Second, what exactly are people purchasing in spite of this fear?
