It’s not just a person that has to transition. Identity is a intersection of who we feel we are, who we appear to be, who we relate to, what we do, what we believe etc
When our identity changes those other strands, like family also have to change and I think it’s important that a figure like Wayans was able to navigate that and share the challenges it brought.
If my son came out as transgender I would no longer have a son
