They decided to send me and you all a Christmas card at our expense.

In November.

(yes the use of householder should have been a clue)

  1. I love the TV licence being dear householder or similar, knew to never bother with it. They eventually got my name somehow and had to pay it Disgusted with myself doing it

  2. I was delighted to get mine yesterday, I’d just run out of roaches.

  3. >at our expense

Ah would ya give over. An Post is self funding. Its own revenues pay for what it does. There’s specific services that the state pays them to do but this isn’t one of them.

This was likely a commercial decision to encourage more people to send Christmas cards. November is the perfect time to remind people to do that.

  4. Take that! Competition to the post office, who ever you are.

  5. Thought the same when that came through my letterbox 😂

  6. It’s a trap they have secret spyware to find the TV in your house

  7. It still baffles me why An Post has the responsibility to enforce TV licences. Revenue just makes more sense!
