UK has a population of 67.33m, and estimated 30k people on the prescribed medication, 0.04% of the population.
So that’s something like, 1-5 people per city & town in the UK.
Could they not just go with the smokers & put up new signage?
Legalise it you bunch of hobo-hating fucking wankers.
It’s the only way to survive Salford, let them have it
“Requiring CBPM users to use an outdoor smoking area to consume medication may be a breach of the Equality Act”
Um… really?
Weed should be legalised but conservative prudes like sunak and starmer won’t allow it, because they can only cum when proles are punished over bullshit.
I went to Thailand recently, and it used to be a vibrant nightlife all centred around alcohol, the street were full and all the bars were full.
I went again recently, admittedly after the pandemic, and after weed has been legalized and the amount of tourists seemed to be compariable. However, there are as many weed shops as pubs, and the pubs themselves were fairly empty. The nightlife was almost non existent.
Whether you believe this example is fair is up to you, because there are far too many variables at play, but the only question that needs answering is how many people in political power here in the UK who have the capability of legalizing weed, have other investments across London and the UK in pubs, bars, nightclubs, brewing, distributing, including shares in beer and lager companies?
The problem with weed is that anyone can grow 10 plants at home in the attic and have enough weed to last the year, and they can sell the rest. You wouldn’t be able to do that with lager, the nations most popular drink, but you could in small batches with beer. Not enough to drink every day though.
If you’re making spirits, to make the ethanol you first have to be very good at what you do to not make methanol, and if you do drink the methanol you go blind. So most people aren’t going to be making spirits.
The barriers to entry for alcohol drinks is high enough that it’s safe for the politicians to protect their investment, the supply is tightly controlled on who can brew, who has licences and everyone get a nice fat wedge of money.
If you legalise weed, you get millions of suppliers who only need £200 to start, and can control the entire market themselves, which is not something the UK politicians particularly want to do, because they lose money across the board, including their commercial properties losing value too as rentable value falls as footfall decreases.
There should be an unprecedented call for the police to do training to understand the law as majority are clueless on the subject of medical cannabis
I was meant to go in hospital and I get medical cannabis prescribed , which is oil for under tongue and flower too vape ..
I was told I can have my oil in hospital but not allowed vape ( they said sets smoke alarms off lol ) yet I told them with the vape I was given on prescription has no smoke or vape cloud as it works in different way .
Still wasn’t allowed so cancelled my stay in hospital even though I need to be in for a op .. they are denying me my medication..
In the past I’ve had threats of calling police for smoking on their grounds 🤦🏻♂️
I’m disabled (paraplegic 20yrs ) and smoked cannabis for my spasms and nerve pain ..
They would rather you take dangerous pharma drugs that cause endless damage etc instead of a plant 😡
So I’m stuck but I’m not giving in as it’s my right to use what medication I want , plus it’s being bloody prescribed by the NHS yet they won’t let me take my medication on their grounds . Ridiculous
Tax and legalise it just like Ciggies and no worries. That said, going to be a load more stoners to have to work with in the work place.
Depressing that so many want to turn this country further into a cesspit. If you need drugs to enjoy your life then you’re doing something wrong.
I got so tired of the stigma I switched entirely to oils with my clinic! Don’t work for everyone though!
Do not legalise this stinking filthy disgusting substance. The stuff of animals.
Too many politicians already making tons of money for them to stop their monopoly (GWPharma is a subsidiary of British Sugar and the leading medicinal cannabis company exporter in the world)
NO. Just fucking grow up and stop sucking these fucking adult dummies with a battery inside. Honestly. Like we haven’t got enough shit to deal with without these brain dead morons.
Let’s have an honest grown up conversation about drugs in this country.
Making drugs illegal has done very little to stem the availability/accessibility of them from the everyday normal social weekend consumer, not to mention the users who need it for the medicinal aspects of cannabis.
What it has done has enriched criminals and caused unregulated product on the black market.
The amount of tax revenue generated from licensed, regulated and ethically sourced product would pump billions of extra cash into the Country.
A further effect would be the easier rehabilitation of addicts and protection of vulnerable people and youths who are often coerced into working for these criminals.
It’s high time (no pun intended) that we acknowledge the status quo is broken and often supported by hypocrites who will happily snort a cheeky line of coke whilst decrying drug legalisation.
I just go for a walk around Didsbury of an evening. There’s not exactly a ton of people milling about this time of year but nobody’s ever said anything to me about it. I’ve been doing it for the last three years.
It would be nice to have somewhere sheltered to go when it’s wet and miserable, but it would be even nicer if I could get away with doing it in the comfort of my own home.
I have ADHD and once my medication wears off the old me creeps back in and I don’t like it. Cannabis is the only thing next to my meds that makes me feel human.
I’ve zero faith that things will change with the next government, but I live in hope.
Hang on wernt we pushing to ban tobacco the other week?
We need to pick a lane.
All these calls for legalising drug use. Take a look at Vancouver atm. Not going well.
I’m fine with this on the condition that this is the only public space where they’re allowed to vape it.
We are the world’s biggest exporter of medicinal cannabis yet we make it stupidly hard for those who benefit from it to get it. Also the Tories have their hands very much in the private market of cannabis… it will definitely need a different government to work on legalisation at a more accessible level
