thats actually a great idea, but my area in southern england never do that
That is bizarre, is it somewhere like Sunderland?
Yes see it quite a bit in the midlands

I seen one recently, Happy 30th Birthday Gran.
Seen loads of this type of thing
Yes, people sometimes do the bedsheet message thing here in Newport, Wales.
Roscoe’s roundabout in Stockport would regularly have sheet signs.
Regularly used to see these in South Wales. I remember seeing a local comedian years ago and he talked about living in one of the less salubrious areas of Cardiff, an area he referred to as a BBZ (birthday blanket zone).
people do this every now and again on the railings along the roundabout. i live in the northwest so idk if it’s a britain thing or just a northener thing
I’ve not noticed it in East anglia
Usually just on roundabouts. There was one that said “Happy 21st Birthday John Pierce, you fat virgin!”
There’s a specific roundabout in my hometown that almost always has one by it. Though only ever 1 at a time, clearly you have to book your bedsheet
It was always on a roundabout down my way
Yes.
Our rugby team had a big fixture and there was one wishing them luck
They lost and the next day there was one offering rugby lessons
Nothing like celebrating a milestone of your nearest and dearest with a skid-marked bedsheet. It’d warm the cockles of the coldest heart.
“Here, Lucy…shut yer eyes….NO!!! Keep them shut! You’re not gonna believe this!”
I’m an LGV Driver and get all over the country. I happens everywhere
[I’ve seen it in Bolton.](https://youtu.be/Ua8pf6btATA?si=8drnltsiqPZZyd0o)
i remember walking thru the village next to mine and seeing like a HUGE like scramble of bridges and they always have these on
Where I grew up there was a junction where people would do this and my mum always thought it was awful, so my brothers and I obviously figured it would be hilarious to do one for her 40th. She has quite an unusual name too so anyone who knew her who happened to pass would know it was her.
A few hours later when we were about to drive past it and see her reaction, we were dismayed to see it had been taken down and replaced with one that said “TOM G IS A GRASS CUNT”.
Either your dashcam is off centre, you have a left hand drive car, or you’re using your phone while driving.
I fucking hope it’s not the latter, but I believe it is.
Please don’t use your phone while driving.
I’ve seen it both in Luton where I used to live and East Yorkshire where I escaped to.
‘I always see them banners above the motorway and I always thought “Who the fuck does them?”. Well now I know. People like me. Kurtan.’
Used to see it all the time in Cornwall.
And the things would then be forgotten about and before you know it, Kyle has been 19 for 3 years.
Round my way there is a large hedge on the corner of a bend that always seems to have a birthday bedsheet, my husband and I often use it as a point of reference for how close we are to getting home, when I call him and say I’m at Birthday Bush he knows I’ll be at home within about 5 minutes
Galston?
I have seen sheets draped over bridges round my way (east coast of Scotland), not often for birthdays though. It’s usually some kind of p-word message, pro-independence or whathaveyou.
I did see one last year that said: “Ian [surname] is a cheating c*nt”. That fairly blew up the local Facebook group.
No. Never seen anything like this. And I’m glad, because I don’t care how old Lucy is
This happens everywhere I’ve lived (south, north, midlands and Scotland) over the last six decades.
Northamptonshire? Birthday signs on roundabouts for some weird reason.
So where in Inbredshire is this fucing hel how dumb are people these days
See it on roundabouts and then they never take them down
north west we get it- on roundabouts too stuck to trees in the middle, on the arrow signs etc lol. seen a lot more when i was growing up, not so much recently but still a thing definitely
Common in Bristol 😂
I wish my hometown had bridges.
Oh yes, most definitely. Resident of Glasgow.
Put your phone away when driving
I lived in several places in England and never saw it, but definitely noticed it when I moved to South Wales.
It’s just weird tbh.
