  1. Isn’t the idea that post war Hamas will be eradicated? Why continue to punish Gazans post Hamas? What am I missing here?!

  2. After this horrendous conflict stop it will take generational change before things will move forward (if at all) as trust has disintegrated on both sides.

  3. One cant blame them after all the details that have come out about the Oct 7 attack and how they used the access to plan them.

  4. You remember the reaction in Gaza and the west bank on 9/11?

My memory is clear even though I was 12 at the time. I remember an older Palestinian lady among others holding guns and ululating in joy.

I can never forget that, blaming Israel for Hamas is so asinine when all the middle east has been one step away from trying to eliminate all the jews. The Palestinian land has been an intolerable shit hole much before the rise of Hamas due to that inherent belief of ‘Death to the jews and the west’

  5. The last 10 years saw Israel get lazy about the Gaza border. They’d had become complacent that cameras and iron dome was all that was needed. Hamas seemed to be less trouble than they turned out to be.

Think 911. Even today you take off your shoes. That’s what kind of change has occured. You are going to see massive restrictions put in place between Israel and Gaza. I seriously doubt ANY gazan will be allowed to work in Israel.

So, Gaza is doomed. Israel won’t allow cross border workers, probably won’t rebuilt the power and water connections.

This is the outcome of what Hamas did.

How long? Who knows? The USA still makes me put my liquids in a tiny bad and take off my shoes and belt.

So it will be longer than 20 years.

  6. In 239 years, talks about the border crossings can start again.

  7. Good. We owe them nothing after what they did to us.

  8. A bit early to say that…

Until this is over, it is not clear what approach Israel will take to Gaza. A whole lot of approaches are possible. The IDF will not allow another situation like exists now to return, but until its over, not clear what will happen.

  9. Netanyahu is probably planning a permanent brutal occupation plus mass deportation.
