The worst prime minister in our countries history backs more comically stupid and villainous ideas, is anyone even remotely surprised? I half expect her to advocate burning the poor as a solution to the energy crisis next.
Because what this country needs is “more America” and less well off ~~slaves~~ ~~peasants~~ workers
So we grow the economy by giving the people who spend their money less of it so the people who save their money can have more?

I work with a lot of people in the USA and they are exhausted. They are worked to the bone and fear getting fired at any moment. So they are scared to speak up about issues in case the bosses over there don’t like it.
As for wages, I’m sure Liz wouldn’t mind working for minimum wage then and having none paid holiday leave. Surely she can set an example for us all first? Maybe we remove the money in her bank account of which she’s earned and replace it with the correct amount for minimum wage?
She really is competing with Katie Hopkins on who is the biggest bitch in the UK.
… and no more free housing for orphans. They must start paying their own way now!

Actually, companies can’t find people to work for them at the wages they’re offering already and a big part of why the economy is struggling right now is that people just don’t have any money to spend so I’m not sure why they think giving them less will help anything.

Back in aus the standard was 25 days paid holiday plus 12-15 bank holidays (depending on where you lived, and local councils could also create extra optional bank holidays too).

This is just absolutely baffling. How can any government see a cost of living crisis, hitting those at the bottom harder than anyone else, and think “yeah they’re getting far too much”.
Minimum wage is not destroying jobs. If you can’t afford to pay minimum wage you should not be running a business. How about cutting back dividends or streamlining other costs saving opportunities?
And of course they want tax cuts to higher earners, which makes no sense.
GDP per capita is an absolutely useless statistic to judge a country by when all that money is hoarded by the few.
