  1. Going after the small fish. But the cowards will never dare to do the same for US protegee.

  2. “And this would be the tip of the iceberg.” What I have noticed throughout history is that tensions increase in times of economic crisis…

  3. So is this just some silly grandstand to dissuade him from ever entering France or are they trying to seriously do something?

  4. Realistically however, I don’t see a future where it’s possible for Assad to get arrested. He’s just won a civil war.

  5. France growing a pair since Napoleon was released in theaters that was the last war they won

  6. Yeah sure, arrest the guy who wrecked the western funded ISIS and militias cuz he opposes the US

  7. When this was happening, 2013, I met a Syrian girl. She was beautiful and from a religious minority. She didn’t like Assad but she also explained to me that if the side he was fighting won, the minorities in the country would get wiped out. Crazy world…

  8. Kind of wild that Assad is still out there, doing the dictator thing.

  9. Viva La France!! It’s to bad they can’t bomb the shit out of Syria the way they bombed the hell out of Libya and kept their assets in the process.

  10. So fun fact about Assad, he used to be an NHS doctor, specialising in eyes, where he was described as “A bit geeky, especially about IT”

Assad was never meant to become the president of syria, it was only because his brother died in a car accident that he became heir to the throne, which he reportedly wasn’t exactly enthralled at the idea of.

While he was heir to the throne he also became the president of the Syrian computer society and is responsible for giving the nation of syria the internet.

Bashar al-assad is perhaps the perfect example of “As you act with the throne, the throne will too act on you” turning assad from a computer geek who’s life goal was to become a doctor, to a corrupt dictator
