The European price cap basically forces Russia to sell their oil to India for 8$ profit a barrel (its only worth keeping the sector from collapsing).
The goal is to rob Russia of profits without collapsing the global oil and gas sector. We are still burning Russian oil, just India is getting all the money now.
It’s a step, but it’s been taken care of already.
I hope Sweden and Denmark work hand in hand on this, if both countries do then no Russian oil tankers will be able to cross in or out of the Baltic sea.
I really don’t understand how anyone thinks this could work. If Denmark tried Russia could just put some Wagner soldiers on those tankers and some warships in the region. Denmark won’t start a fight with Russia
