  1. Houthis…

Until recently many didn’t even know who the fluck they were

Yemen doesn’t even border with Israel yet operated and controlled by the IR in their religious war against Israel.

  2. I’d say this isn’t great news for Yemen, which has been through a brutal civil war and Saudi and UAE-led intervention. The UN said multiple times the humanitarian crisis is the ‘worst in the world.’

There’s been a fragile truce – but it’s kind of in a ‘no peace, no war’ scenario for the past months after the war started over 9 years ago.

But with Saudi Arabia seeking more security guarantees from Washington and intercepting past Houthi missiles to Israel, we could see violence heat up more in Yemen, esp with the Houthis becoming a belligerent actor again.

Not to mention if Israel eventually did respond, which is more likely if the Houthis focus on Israeli ships in the Red Sea.

  3. I can see another FAFO moment developing now.

Israel may be small, but they are way smarter than these terrorist groups think they are. My money is still on Israel winning.

Hamas has been getting its ass kicked, things have not gone any better for Hezbollah, and maybe the Houthis will get to spend their time facing the pointy end of the Israeli spear soon?

On top of all this, Iran just looks worse, and anti-Iranian sentiment just keeps growing around the world.

  4. Always nice to see Biden’s middle east policies coming back to bite him lol.

It seems that his policies in the middle east are.. still weak to say the least. Whereas his policies were good in other regions of the world.

  5. I wonder if this will at all play into Saudi Arabia’s and Israel’s future normalizing of relations. Nothing helps countries bond better than fighting a common adversary.

  6. what?! reddit been telling me those are the good guys! who the gulf was oppressing’s when they totally did not invade the Saudis? I mean sure they reddit Yemen experts skipped over their flag, and deemed it as an artistic expression and not an islamofascism banner or anything.

  7. Israel launches its more serious air defence systems to intercept them for a reason. They aren’t explosive metal pipes like Hamas’, they’re real rockets with huge destructive potential. Don’t let the Israeli sky shield fool you – the threat is just immense and Israel is defending itself, by definition.

  8. I was hoping the Saudi’s would clean up this problem..

  9. Life under the Israeli occupation must be really hard for the Yeman people…

  10. Houthis? Sounds like something you get on your butt?

  11. Yeah because they don’t have enough trouble in Yemen. 🙄

  12. Good for them. Israel made a massive move only because they assume direct American support in the full scale war they are bringing themselves.

  13. They are a decision away from being obliterated. “headbutting” how stupid can you be…
