Labour suffers exodus over Gaza ceasefire vote. Ten Labour frontbenchers have tonight left their posts after backing an SNP motion calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

    > They follow Imran Hussain’s departure last week in protest at Sir Keir Starmer’s unwillingness to differ from the government in his support for Israel.

    > The SNP motion was heavily defeated, with 125 ayes for a ceasefire and 293 noes against.

  7. Always liked Jesse Phillips, her and others of the true Labour tradition have all withstood threats from the usurper Conservative management to reflect the Labour movement mood and the wishes of the people and no doubt their constituents.

    And if they are thrown out because of it, then there goes the conscience of the party and what’s left of its decency. I wonder if this makes them anti semites now.

    And those left are greasy pole climbing cowards, weighing up the ongoing slaughter of 5,000 kids against their cosy green bench easy life.

  10. When all the good ones leave, their replacements will be worse. They should have stayed, they’ve practically surrendered their leverage

  12. The home secretary has been sacked, David Cameron is back in government, the government was ruled against by the supreme court and 10 labour front benchers are gone.

    It’s only fucking Wednesday.
