What was he doing in Ireland in the first place? As he was working in hospitality I think it’s a fair bet to say he wasn’t here under a critical skills visa.
As soon as his sentence is served he should be sent back to where he came from.
Buy him a one-way flight home after his sentence. A giant catapult facing the general direction would also suffice.

Wasn’t there a repeat rapist from Algeria who was caught raping a drunk man recently. He’d just got out from serving 6 years I think it was already for rape. He claimed to be Homosexual so his life would be in danger if he went home,I think he also claimed to have mental issues. Then there was the chap who raped an impaired girl who was out for a jog with her mum . There definitely seems to be a prevalence in certain “cultures” like alcohol abuse in Irish we’re probably similar in levels of domestic abuse though.
Is there any accessible stats available to the public for rape to nationality in Irish prisons ?

If he came here as an asylum seeker, I would sue the government. Algeria is a safe country so coming here seeking asylum is complete bullshit. What is the point of having countries deemed safe if you can just come anyway and seek asylum. The more this happens the more the government just double down. These asshole judges give tiny sentences for rape and it has always been like this, which is a fucking joke.
