  5. Absolute cowards hiding behind hollow words. Varadkar and Harris have blood on their hands for hiding behind a yes vote when Palestinians need it most. Israel deserves consequences for their indiscriminate bombing by the thousands. They should have been sent to the ICC.

    Where can we find the list of TDs who voted each way? 85 of them have blood on their hands, and will be remembered when the next election rolls around.

    This is the ambassador that tried to claim we were funding Hamas.

  11. Expelling the ambassador merely means that we lose any diplomatic channels we may have with Israel to try and talk sense into them, and put Irish citizens in the region at risk.

    Expelling the ambassador would do more harm to us than them and give Israel freer reign to so what they like with nobody left to call them out on it.

    The motion to refer them to the ICC is jumping the gun. It doesn’t recognise the ICC to start with, so it’s little more than performance art. But it’s also too early in the conflict, too much flux, hard to pin down the real evidence.

    Both motions were just sabre rattling that would both make Ireland look stupid in the long run.

  14. Why the fuck would we want to expel the ambassador other than bitchiness? Is it not better to have them here as at least some sort of an open channel with Israel? Getting rid of them just lessens the already little pressure that can be imposed on them.
