  12. I’m really surprised by some of the comments here from people who didn’t previously know about the massacre. It was a defining moment in British history and a significant contributing factor to the decline and fall of the empire – every schoolchild should know about it.

  13. If he was caught in the grounds of the castle, I wouldn’t like his chances of escaping alive. The royal guards have assault rifles and they’re not afraid of using them

  14. If a lone nutcase managed to get this far into Windsor Castle before the alarm was sounded, I shudder to think what organised terrorists could do. Security needs to be beefed up. This guy shouldn’t have even made it onto the castle grounds before being apprehended.

    Also, how the fuck is it legal and basically unregulated to own a crossbow?

  18. This seems more like a mental health issue than anything else, I feel like that’s the case with a lot of people who have attempted to harm or kill members of the royal family over the years

    More needs to be put in place to help these people
