  12. I am Ukrainian and most of the Ukrainian literature we have learnt in school are about being oppressed and how bad life of a peasant is. There are few about kozaks fighting back but still in the same spirit. Like, imagine if US only taught black children books about slavery? That’s depressing. Honestly, russians would be doing us a favour if only they didn’t replace those books with even worse ones.

  18. ok, I’m not saying Israel should take note, but educating the kids what you want them to learn, works way better than bombing them, and it’s much better for international reputation, people don’t usually care about cultural “genocide”.

The Russian communists burned many books during the Soviet Union that were deemed to western. It’s amazing to me that Russia can do the exact same behavior and still not get called communists because a little capital is allowed into their country.
