  1. I imagine this will go down like a bucket of sick in the UK, Italy and Spain. I imagine the French are looking on and thinking perhaps they need a different partner also.

    I would also imagine Turkey will be furious, maybe enough to open up passage..

  2. Good, even though wtf is this article actually reporting about? He’s “unlikely” to agree, and “probably will” block it?

    Does Bloomberg have a crystal ball or what?

  3. Clickbait-y title!

    Headline = 100% blockage

    Article = “unlikely to agree”

  4. Let’s see… Being an asshole has what result?

  5. Options are running out but for sure it’s not Erdogan’s fault…/s

    F35, kicked out due to S300 sale

    F16 kits, delayed, penning on approval regarding Sweden ( and it’s just for keeping the current F16’s relevant/upgraded).

    Rafale: not an option due to relations with France and Greece.

    Eurofighter: UK would probably love to sell but Germany is nope.

    Any remaining alternatives?

    Saab? Would be a direct exchange deal regarding Swedish entry into NATO but don’t think the Grippen will work for Turkey. Plus Turkey needs to remain in good graces of Sweden considering spare parts..

    Russia: Think priority Russia is for now its own airforce..

    China: Only selling its budget line JF17 planes. Not the planes they actually use for their own Airforce. J-10 could be an option? But would be “ just” another F16 light weight interceptor.

    India: still struggling to get their own homemade jet troubles ironed out.

  6. this is how NATO works

    you may not like it, but this is peak performance
