Parliament should have just disconnected or spend limited the sims. Ridiculous management of public money.
He shouldn’t have lied about it.
But EE shouldn’t also be allowed to charge that much for 6Gb of data.
Scandal-tastic
Blame the kids class act
As I’ve said all week on this, I couldn’t care if he was watching football, Netflix or porn. The crux of it for me was “did he lie?” – and the answer is now: yes.
(Also, even if it was the kids, publicly bringing them into the thick of it seems a bit off, but hey that’s not a conduct matter).
For lying: He simply has to resign.
He lied he has to resign
His kids are his responsibility, he owes the tax payer 11k
Sack him & sue him, this bullshit can’t just be let slide because it was an accident, if I accidentally racked up an 11k bill on my work IPad I’d have to pay it, so would we all.
Looking forward to everyone saying we should just drop it and it’s a non story coming to post here.
Another one into the bin. Get him gone. Also go back over all his previous expenses with a fine tooth comb, and consider banning him from any fiscal or corporate responsibility.
As posted in another thread, it now begs the question how did family member bypass the security measures on the Government iPad?

1. The security measures were disabled – so raises the issue, did he disable them, or were they not enforced by IT via an MDM solution.
2. Security measures were enabled, but he shared the details with family.
3. He’s lying, was watching the football himself and has thrown his kids under the bus.
If his iPad is also used on Gov’t business then this is not good.
Why was the original thread deleted?
Porn-U-Like, I expect.
So when Humza Yousaf said it was a “legitimate parliamentary expense” was he lying to us or did he just accept Matheson lying to him without asking for any proof?
This could all have just gone away if he had just told the truth at the start. I would have been in favour of a slap on the wrist if he had owned up and said “I watched the footy and was unaware of the roaming charges, I will foot the bill like they footed the ball”. Instead he tried to avoid personally paying for it, lied and lied and lied again, and has lost all public trust.
What a knob.
Definately some porn viewing in there too for sure
