The removal then spurred on a bunch of posts and conspiracy theories about how the government controls the msm and suppresses fReEzE pEaCh
Never mind that the letter remains available publicly available from government websites.
Wouldn’t want to give this Osama guy too much publicity.
Ye i saw a video on tiktok of some girl saying how her entire view on terrorism and middle east changed after she read Osamas Letter. This video got thousands of likes and comments. The amount of young people openly symphatising with terrorists after the october 7 attacks is insane
People learning from other sources scares people in power
And this is the reason why the videos of the massacre 7th of October should have been showed in the media. Of course there still be idiots like her trowing stupid tantrums and praising terrorist but it wouldn’t be as much as we see this days.
Here is a compilation of American TikTokers saying the letter “opened their eyes” (some out of many similar)
Can’t wait for the “have you read me in kamf? 🤯🤯🤯💯”
Lol, how long before mein kamph makes a great return?
Some light shitstirring.
I hope they also discover the part 2, the sequel to that letter. That one is even more… enlightening about Bin Laden’s views and how insane he was. And maybe reading that would prompt some self-reflection amongst these narcisstic dimwits. Though I doubt it.
The more I read about that Osama fella, the more I don’t care for him.
Imagine celebrating someone who murdered what 2000 , 3000? of your fellow countrymen? I feel like that used to be called treason
It just goes to show the US hasn’t held up its end of the bargain to its citizens or the world. The winners write the history books, but they also write the news! Always check your own lens before reading any piece of media. We’ve been spoon fed propaganda our entire lives we can’t even recognize that there is another perspective.
Bin Laden was fairly media savvy. Compare the letters he wrote for a Western audience to a Muslim one, completely different focus and tone.
Or another good example, I’ve oft seen it repeated here that Bin Laden’s goal with 9/11 was to drag the US into unwinnable wars that would lead to its ruin. The source is Bin Laden himself so it must be true right? Except he only started saying this was his reason in 2003-2004. Essentially as a way to save face after his original hope (9/11 causing the US to withdraw from the Mid-East) failed spectacularly.
There was a lot of things OBL wasn’t. He wasn’t a good military commander. He wasn’t a brilliant Machiavellian type schemer. But he certainly was good at playing to an audience.
What I find frightening is not that some people make wacky videos (happens all the time), but that these get thousand of likes and comments. It seems like it stuck a nerve and resonates with Gen Z in a way I didn’t think possible.
Bin Laden? The more I learn about that guy, the less I care for him
This is what happens when teachers, parents, and celebrities all teach young people to hate their country. The constant shitting on ones own country that follows these people all the way through the education system and beyond is non stop.
I think it started out as something edgy people would do. To trash every single thing about America. But now everyone is doing it from all sides. There is literally no getting away from it. At school, at home. on the internet. It’s disappointing but not surprising that these young people have started to sympathize with terrorists.
Ignorance can be filled by conspiracy theories, which in this world are not infrequently anti-Semitic to some degree.
Sad.
Geez no wonder my Google Osama had in top search
I didn’t know bin Laden was in The Proclaimers.
Unfortunately we are going to start seeing more and more young western kids going off to join Islamic terrorist orgs.
It’s really hard to see what is happening in Palestine and what Europe and US are supporting and condoning and still believe they are a force of good in the world. I cannot count how many dead and mutilated children I’ve seen on my social media feeds for the last few weeks, and the evil and hypocritical American / European politicians. Young people will latch on to things that make more sense than the official narrative. Any type of breaking off is good, as it will lead them to do more research. Truth will win out no matter how much the media is controlled. I have not read the letter, but I can assume that a Bin Laden manifesto is a more sane way to look at the world than the average vegetable on this sub
